Mississippi State football recruits visit strip club during recruiting trip?
I knew we wouldn’t have to wait long for our next social networking failscapade. Three high football recruits who made verbal commitments to Mississippi State had a little more fun than they were supposed to have during their official recruiting visit, it seems. Once they got home from the trip, all three posted accounts of visiting a strip club near Starkville, allegedly.
Jameon Lewis, a running back from Tylertown, Miss., Jay Hughes, a running back from Hattiesburg, Miss., and Robert Firebird Johnson, a running back/receiver from Hattiesburg, all made comments on their Facebook pages referring to a visit to The Pony, apparently, a rather notorious strip club. One of the Facebook pages shows MSU recruits in Bulldog jerseys.
Facebook details following the jump.

Robert Johnson:

Jay Hughes:
Jay Hughes dad lots of fun at state this weekend….POOONNNYYYYYYYYY!
From Hughes’ profile on BulldogBlitz.com: Jay Hughes enjoys visit 1/18/2010. Jay Hughes’ commitment to Mississippi State last month was pretty much a forgone conclusion and this past weekend’s official visit could be described as just a formality.
Listen, nobody — with the possible exception of Charlie Sheen — should ever describe a visit to a strip club as “just a formality.” That’s simply not right.
