State Senate Appropriations Chairman Files Qualifying Paperwork with the Mississippi Republican Party Today

Senator Alan Nunnelee of Tupelo filed his qualifying paperwork with the Mississippi Republican Party today. Please see a statement from Sen. Nunnelee below:

Nunnelee Statement
“We need someone in Washington to hold Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi accountable.

The current leadership in Washington is making decisions that will create untold consequences for our country. There seems to be a prevailing attitude in Washington that the federal government has the answers to all of our challenges and that government spending will create jobs.

I believe that the strength of our country has always been in our homes, our neighborhoods, our communities and our churches and I believe that businesses create jobs, not government. I’m running for Congress because we need a congressman who will stand up for Mississippi values in Washington.”
