Alabama Crimson Tide playing Smart defense under enthusiastic coordinator
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. — Alabama linebacker Rolando McClain remembers the first time he saw Terrence Cody. It was when the big junior-college nose tackle visited practice in Tuscaloosa.
And defensive assistant Kirby Smart pointed him out.
“Coach Smart came up to me and was like, ‘You want to be an NFL linebacker? You better go talk to that guy,'” McClain said. “I went and talked to him.”
