Brian Kelly Joins Notre Dame Finally

Dec.11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Brian Kelly is going to leave the Cincinnati Bearcats for Notre Dame and it is official now. Both the clubs have affirmed the news. It has been reported that Kelly is going to be with the Irish team for the next 5 years. Jack Swarbrick who is the athletics director of Notre Dame expressed his pleasure in being able to get Kelly in his team. The 48 year old coach has played a significant role behind the success of the Bearcats this season. It has been learned that the coach will not provide coaching to the Bearcats for New Year’s Day Bowl. It has been decided that Jeff Quinn, the offensive coordinator will function as the interim coach.

Earlier when Kelly left Central Michigan for Cincinnati, it was Quinn who worked as the interim coach there. During the three seasons he had been with the Bearcats no one could snatch the title of Big east coach for the year from him. He has won many awards in his illustrious career. Charlie Weis, who was the coach of Notre Dame was shown the door buy the management last month for abysmal performance.

A well known web portal reported that a Notre Dame spokesperson met Kelly a few days back and talks progressed after that the experts think Kelly is moving to Notre Dame mainly because Cincinnati did not persuade him to stay back. The veteran coach has a lot of expectation piled on him from the new team’s players and management.
