Velma Dixon remembers her son Anthony sitting in front of the television, watching the star football players and saying he wanted to be one of them someday.
“I would always tell him you could be, if you work hard,” she said.
That day came.
And at least when it comes to his college career, it’ll end Saturday, when the Mississippi State senior running back plays in his final collegiate game – the Egg Bowl, against No. 20 Ole Miss (8-3, 4-3 SEC).
