The poor, neglected, unloved wide receiver. Not only does he have to line up way out by the sideline—all by himself—he also continues to get no respect in the Heisman Trophy race.
It looks almost certain that, for the 18th straight year, someone other than a receiver will win the Heisman Trophy, college football’s most prestigious individual award. In the latest poll of Heisman voters by HeismanPundit.com, no receiver made the top five. (Alabama running back Mark Ingram is the frontrunner.)
