Big schools giving little schools a shot helps college football

CLEMSON — Way back in February, Clemson decided to give the “little big guys” a shot.
If you remember Central Michigan was slated to make an appearance at Death Valley on Sept. 26, but the Chippewas dropped out and the Tigers had to find a new opponent.
It probably would’ve been simple enough to bring in the Omaha School of Beef or any Football Championship Subdivision program that needed cash, but instead the Tigers ended up tangling with a very good TCU team.
