The thunderous chant began midway through the fourth quarter, more than 70,000 deliriously happy fans in unison: “Who Dat? Who Dat? Who Dat think they gonna beat these Saints? Who dat?”
After what transpired here Sunday, the question seems all together pertinent: Who dat, indeed.

New Orleans Saints 48, New York Giants 27. These are the Giants who won the Super Bowl two years ago, a team seeded No. 1 in the NFC playoffs last season, a team that came to the Superdome with a 5-0 record and rated best in the league by many.
This was supposed to be showdown. It turned into a beat-down.
