First things first: Alabama’s defense is ridiculously strong and fast. The Crimson Tide plays a four-man front that sometimes seems like 14. Speed kills, or, in Alabama’s case, it just maims.
Nevertheless, following Saturday’s 22-3 loss to Alabama, we can no longer ignore the elephant in the Ole Miss football locker room. Quarterback Jevan Snead, so precocious as a sophomore, has regressed as a junior.
If Ole Miss is to salvage something of what began as one of the most promising seasons in the last half century, Snead must get much better fast.
