Self takes KU’s recent missteps personally
Kansas athletes involved in troubling, embarrassing and illegal activities over the past few weeks hurt themselves and their school’s image.
They also caused their basketball coach Bill Self plenty of heartache.
“I have a hard time not taking this personally because I think it’s a big, big reflection of me and our program,” Self said.
The image was sullied by multiple fights that broke out between members of the basketball and football teams last week, and the arrest of Jayhawks guard Brady Morningstar for suspicion of driving while intoxicated early Saturday morning.
