Nick Saban talks up silent Smart
Being the defensive coordinator for Nick Saban is like being Robin alongside Batman. No matter how well you do your job, you’re probably not going to get a lot of credit.
Saban tried to correct that mistake after his Alabama defense – excuse me, after Kirby Smart’s Alabama defense – shut down Arkansas in a 35-7 win.
All week long, this game was billed as a battle of wits between Saban, the defensive wizard, and Arkansas head coach Bobby Petrino, the offensive mastermind. Saban didn’t like that.
