SEC’s Mike Slive could lead NCAA, but why?
Could Mike Slive be in line for a promotion, from leading the Southeastern Conference to heading the entire NCAA?

Slive’s name is one of five that the Chronicle of Higher Education listed as potential successors to Myles Brand as the next president of the NCAA, based on responses from what it called “a group of leaders in college sports.”
The Chronicle is not the first to mention Slive, 69, as a possible successor to the 67-year-old Brand, who died last week from pancreatic cancer.
