Bulldogs’ Mullen sees improvement in attack

STARKVILLE — One-quarter of the way into his first season of the spread offense at Mississippi State, coach Dan Mullen sees progress.
He sees problems, too. That’s prompted recent liberal usage of seemingly his new favorite phrase, “clean up.”
He sees, well, about what he expected.

“We’re coming,” Mullen said. “It’s always going to be a little bit slow. It’s always a little slower offensively than defensively.”
