STARKVILLE — Carl Torbush spent the past two days looking at coverages, weighing various fronts – and basically examining the reasons why Auburn’s offense shredded Mississippi State Saturday night.
As he looks ahead to Saturday’s game against Vanderbilt, the Bulldogs’ defensive coordinator sees almost the same setup from the Commodore offense.
He – and Mississippi State fans – are hoping they don’t see the same reaction from State’s defense.
“The first thing you’re going to do is patch up what you did wrong or you’re going to see it again,” Torbush said, “because coaches are the worst cheaters in the world – if they see things that are going to work, they’re going to do it again.”
