SEATTLE — This was the kind of play new Washington coach Steve Sarkisian talked about when he said Jake Locker was to be part of the Huskies offense, not all of Washington’s offense.
Facing a third-and-14 on Washington’s first possession Saturday, Locker did what everyone in the Pac-10 has become accustomed to seeing: He darted and shuffled away from trouble in the pocket and rolled toward the sideline.
