Tim Tebow + Heisman chances = Peyton Manning?
Could Tim Tebow be the Peyton Manning of 2009, in regard to his chances of winning the Heisman Trophy?
CBS announcer Verne Lundquist brought up that point on a conference call today. The CBS college football team was asked to give their thoughts on whether Tebow was the favorite to win the Heisman.
Lundquist mentioned Manning, who finished second in Heisman voting to Charles Woodson in 1997. Many in Tennessee blame a media backlash against Manning because, like Tebow, he was the most talked about player in college football that year.
