Although they almost never play each other, Notre Dame and Ohio State have much in common: Midwestern roots, national followings, seven Heismans, one mortal enemy. Unfortunately for both, a new element has joined the list: fear.
After entering this season with so much hope, then losing Saturday in distressingly familiar fashion, fans of the Fighting Irish and the Buckeyes can only dread what this all means. What if the Charlie Weis and Jim Tressel coaching administrations have already reached their peaks?
