Rebels, Snead don’t answer many questions despite win
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Jevan Snead stood there in the north end zone — wet hair, white shoes, no socks — and said he felt “unsatisfied” when it was over. So don’t let that final score fool you.
Yes, Snead tossed two touchdowns Sunday to help Ole Miss to a 45-14 victory over Memphis here at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium. But he was far from sharp, about as effective as a Derrick Rose SAT prep session. And that’s why after one game it’s tough to gauge whether the Rebels are for real or a fool’s pick to play for the SEC title, because they didn’t really do anything to change the minds of their believers or detractors.
