Bulldog play-calling will have multiple voices
STARKVILLE — Dan Mullen says he’ll be “very involved” in calling offensive plays Saturday when Mississippi State opens its season – and Mullen’s head coaching career – against Jackson State.
But so will almost everyone else on his offensive coaching staff.
For all the buzz surrounding the installation of an offense directly tied to the head coach’s past and pedigree, the play-calling on Saturday will be not unlike many other staffs in the nation: It’ll be with a constant back-and-forth with the entire offensive staff.
