For your viewing pleasure – SEC football

In recent years, Southeastern Conference football fans grew accustomed to the drill: Twelve days before kickoff, they’d learn when they would watch their favorite team and on which television channel they’d do it.
It was complicated. First off, the various networks had enough acronyms to make the alphabet. If TV didn’t want to show a game, it was a crapshoot to guess when the school might choose to kick it off. And on occasion, the 12-day window would shrink to six.

Starting this fall, the SEC’s new multi-billion dollar deal with CBS and ESPN won’t change wildly, but it will help streamline fans’ planning – and send much of their television or in-person viewing under the lights.
