WICKER – Leaders need to start over health care reform
U.S. Sen. Roger Wicker told the crowd the health care reform bill proposed by Senate and House Democrats is exponentially meaningful for the future.
“This proposal to turn over one-sixth of our economy over to the government is the most significant issue,” he said. “We need to come back in September and start all over again.”
Lt.. Gov. Phil Bryant emceed the event, introducing Wicker. Bryant also spoke out against the health care reform bill.
“We’ve seen how the government has mishandled the cash for clunkers program, do you really want them to run your health care?”he asked, to laughter and applause.
