Natchez aldermen cut their salaries
The Natchez Board of Aldermen has approved a 10 percent salary cut for all elected officials in the Mississippi River city to shore up a shrinking budget.
The cuts, which affect the six aldermen, Mayor Jake Middleton, City Clerk Donnie Holloway and Municipal Judge Jim Blough, go into effect in the new budget year that begins Oct. 1.
