Big 12, SEC should start new rivalry
It has become the leading question in college football in recent seasons: Which conference is the best in the country, the SEC or Big 12?
The one certain answer is that both leagues have plenty of good teams and plenty of talent. As for the best, well, there are a number of measuring sticks. Last season, the SEC and Big 12 faced off in two bowl games, including the BCS national championship game. Florida won the game and the national title, defeating Oklahoma 24-14. Ole Miss made it 2-0 for the SEC with a 47-34 win over Texas Tech in the Cotton Bowl. Advantage: SEC.
