If ACC football coaches could have their way, the national signing day for high school players would move from early February to mid-December.
The issue probably rates as the most popular of several cost-cutting measures the league’s 12 head coaches were asked to discuss earlier this week at the conference’s summer kickoff event in Greensboro, N.C.
Exactly how much money earlier signings would save is impossible to calculate.
