SEC coaches more refined than 1994 predecessors

As I navigated the tedious second leg of Highway 36 from Lacey’s Spring to I-65 on Wednesday morning, the thought occurred to me that it had been 15 years since I’d last attended the SEC Football Media Days.
Back in 1994, I was covering Alabama and Al Gore was perfecting the Internet – during that time period on that same stretch of road, there was a business in a red-brick building that offered folks a chance to find out more about the “World Wide Web.” That year’s preseason football meeting took place at the Sheraton Civic Center in Birmingham.
