Health Care Reform symposium to be held in Downtown Hattiesburg
A Health Care Reform Symposium will be presented at 7 p.m. Monday, July 13 at the Jackie Dole Sherrill Community Center in downtown Hattiesburg by the 912 Project Hattiesburg.
The 912 Project Hattiesburg, which has around 350 members, was formed through conservative national talk show host, Glenn Beck’s, ‘We Surround Them’ project.
Panelists will include professionals from the medical and legal fields and the legislative branch who will provide information about the legislation scheduled to be voted on by the House of Representatives by the end of this month.
Addressing the crowd will be:
Roy Nicholson, Project Manager with the Calvert Company of Ridgeland and President of the Mississippi Tea Party
Dr. J. Patrick Barrett, an Orthopedic Surgeon practicing in Jackson and Immediate Past President of the Mississippi State Medical Association
Dr. Phillip A. Ley, a board-certified surgical oncologist practicing in Jackson and Flowood
Dr. Lee Voulters, a board-certified Neurologist employed by Memorial Hospital of Gulfport
Russ Latino III, an attorney with the law firm of Wells Marble & Hurst, PLLC, in Ridgeland
Chris McDaniel, a Mississippi Senator, representing the 42nd District in South Mississippi and an Attorney, Partner of Hortman, Harlow, Martindale, Bassi, Robinson and McDaniel. He is also a talk radio host on ‘The Right Side’ program on WMXI – 98.1 FM in Hattiesburg
Ron Vincent, a member of the Steering Committee for 912 Project Hattiesburg who has recently retired from G.E. and who previously lived under nationalized healthcare in the Ukraine
Kim Wade, host of “WJNT in the Afternoon,” broadcast from 5-6 p.m., Monday-Friday, on WJNT1180 AM. His popular radio show will soon be heard nationwide on American Family Radio.
