Stevens lived life worthy of praise

For the most part, I tend to dread wakes and funerals. Too much sadness, too many tears. Lots of times, people are made to sound in death like something they weren’t in life.
However, over the years, I have found at least two notable exceptions. Thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding times can be had at the wakes and funerals of teachers and coaches, especially those who were especially proficient.
Bob “Coach” Stevens, who died at the age of 82, was both teacher and coach and he was exceptional at both. He was a great coach because he was such a good teacher and motivator.
