The ink wasn’t even dry on the Elite 18 list in Sunday’s paper, the blog post only a few minutes old, before someone tallied the score on this year’s in-state recruiting battle between Alabama and Auburn.
AL – 7, AU – 3.
Joe Bama Fan may look at these numbers and declare victory, noting also that the top two names on the list, Stanhope Elmore’s DeMarcus Milliner and Blount’s Jarrick Williams, are committed to the Tide. Fat lot of good that Auburn limo did, he might snicker while spit-shining the bust of Nick Saban on his mantle.
