Haley Huddles with Boehner: Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour (R) will meet today with the House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) to talk health care among other issues, according to a source familiar with the meeting. Barbour, the all-but-certain head of the Republican Governors Association in 2010 and a potential 2012 candidate, is ramping up his national profile in recent weeks. He was in Virginia on Monday collecting upwards of $250,000 for the gubernatorial candidacy of former state attorney general Bob McDonnell and will spend back to back days later this week raising money for the state parties in New Hampshire and Iowa. Perhaps coincidentally (not!), those are the two states almost certain to kick off the 2012 presidential nominating contest.
