Fairy tales are just that. Just ask Tom Glavine or Atlanta Braves fans.

Wednesday’s news that the Braves had parted ways with Glavine just as he felt he was ready to join the team this season provides all the proof one needs. It also provides a few lessons that sometimes are overlooked. For example, if you are running a business, don’t allow emotions or outside influences to affect your judgment. It also teaches us that evaluations shouldn’t be predicated on what might be a good story or what has happened in the past.
