Several folks in the YallPolitics Capitol Bureau are talking to legislators and noting a lot of tension. Both chambers seem to be in meldown mode with no one on either side seemingly in control. The House has apparently adjourned subject to the Speaker’s callback.
Unless both sides come to some agreement about extending the session, we will likely have the budget process placed in the hands of Governor Barbour to be handled via a Special Legislative Session.
