Dickie Scruggs back in Kentucky prison
Richard “Dickie” Scruggs won’t be serving federal prison time in Arkansas, which was his desire – at least for the time being.
Scruggs, 61, of Oxford is back in the Ashland, Ky., facility he began his 5-year term last August after several months in the Oxford-Lafayette County Detention Center cooperating with prosecutors on other investigations.
His whereabouts are reported today on the Bureau of Prisons’ Web site.
Once one of America’s most famous plaintiffs’ attorneys, Scruggs was disbarred after his guilty plea to attempted bribery of Circuit Judge Henry Lackey of Calhoun City.
