Ward 2 hopefuls promise change
The eight Democratic candidates for Jackson’s Ward 2 City Council seat promised change and leadership Tuesday night.
With the seat soon to be vacated by longtime Councilman Leslie Burl McLemore, new representation is certain.
The candidates addressed nearly 100 people at Tougaloo College during a candidate forum. With no Republicans or independents running for the post, one of the eight candidates is guaranteed to win the seat.
