Gulfport Mayor Brent Warr gets Bill of Particulars
Brent and Laura Warr falsely claimed to FEMA that they had moved into a beachfront home and were living there with their children when Katrina hit, prosecutors allege in court records.
One charge in a 16-count indictment against the mayor and his wife accused them of filing a false claim with FEMA. The indictment offered no details about the false statement. Under court order, the U.S. Attorney’s Office submitted those details Tuesday.
“In looking at the entire FEMA application by defendants, numerous false statements are included,” prosecutors said in the document, called a bill of particulars.
