Mullen: Spring set sound foundation for fall
STARKVILLE — At its conclusion, Saturday’s Mississippi State spring football game was being decided not by veterans Anthony Dixon and Tyson Lee, but by walk-ons such as Tyler Gregory and Thomas Hardin.
And, ultimately, by Derek DePasquale. The kicker booted a 24-yard field goal as time expired, his Maroon team teammates celebrated a 24-21 win – and the members of the White team dreaded their 1 p.m. meeting today at Scott Field today to clean up the trash left behind by the fans.
