Jackson mayoral candidates to meet
Two panel discussions are scheduled this week for Jackson mayoral candidates.
The first event is on Tuesday, hosted by the Good Government Group at Central Mississippi Medical Center and WJTV. It is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. in the medical center cafeteria.
The medical center is located at 1850 Chadwick Drive.
Thirteen of the 15 candidates running for mayor are expected at the forum. The candidates have been asked to focus on issues affecting Southwest Jackson.
Another forum is scheduled on Sunday at Greater Tree of Life Missionary Baptist Church at 3102 Monticello Drive.
All 16 candidates running for Jackson’s top elected office have been invited to attend.
