Consider it karmic debt for the league’s recent football superiority.
The SEC followed up its third consecutive national football championship by putting together one of the worst men’s basketball seasons in recent memory.
Only three SEC teams made the NCAA tournament field, which represented the league’s lowest total since 1990. This also marked the first time since 1990 that no SEC team was seeded fourth or better.
