My friends are always jealous that I get good seats to some of the best sporting events in the world. Before HD-TV and the televising of nearly all sports events, being a sports writer was far better than being a sports fan.

Now, not so much, especially this weekend.
If you love sports and you love watching sports, the best seat in the house is inside a Vegas sportsbook this weekend watching all of the NCAA tournament games. The next two weekends in Vegas are better than an all-access pass at the Super Bowl.
I’m jealous. My lawyer/best friend, his son, his son-in-law and his future son-in-law are flying to Vegas for a bachelor party and NCAA tournament weekend. I’m headed to Minneapolis to watch Kansas and North Dakota State.

My boy Bill “The Sports Guy” Simmons does a terrific NFL picks column. His advice is terrible, but the column is hilarious. This NCAA picks column has superior advice (I hope) and few of the laughs.
