Should Bobby Bowden be forced to forfeit victories for Florida State’s cheating scandal?

Curtis: Absolutely. The academic scandal at FSU counts as a failure for everyone in the athletic department. Maybe Bowden has no direct role in helping his kids through an on-line music appreciation course. But he helped set an apparent laissez-faire environment that allowed such behavior to be present. This is only a big deal because of the Bowden-Paterno, all-time coaching debate (sort of like Bonds and steroids — it only matters so much because he has the career home run crown). Any other coach would lose the wins; so should Bobby.
