Luginbill speaks to club on recruiting
Before immersing the Huntsville Quarterback Club in the intricacies of recruiting, Tom Luginbill opened with the obligatory joke.
Sorry, Phillip Fulmer.
“Did you hear the first call Coach Fulmer got after his buyout?” Luginbill asked his audience. “It was from FEMA. They were so impressed how he could evacuate 100,000 people.”
Yes, even when new coach Lane Kiffin isn’t talking, Tennessee these days can’t escape the jokes.
But then Luginbill, the national recruiting director for Scouts Inc., did what he does best. And the quarterback club received an honorary Ph.D in the inexact science of recruiting.
