Nick Saban hires former Virginia offensive coordinator Mike Groh… as a GA?
Remember when we asked if you remembered former Alabama player and graduate assistant Lance Taylor? (And some of you actually did.) Is it possible Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban hired a former offensive coordinator at a major conference school to take Taylor’s place?
It is, actually.
According to this blog from the Richmond Times-Dispatch, Mike Groh, who was recently fired after three years as Virginia’s offensive coordinator, is ready to become an Alabama graduate assistant. He’ll still get paid by the Cavaliers, which may be why he was willing to take an administrative job at UA.
