Judge Bobby DeLaughter to be tried in Oxford instead of Aberdeen

By: Magnolia Tribune - February 26, 2009

Hinds Judge DeLaughter’s trial moved

U.S. District Court records show the April 6 corruption trial of Hinds Circuit Judge Bobby B. DeLaughter will be held in Oxford rather than Aberdeen.

DeLaughter, known for successfully prosecuting a white supremacist decades after a civil rights-era killing, has pleaded not guilty to charges in a judicial bribery scheme that has snared some of the state’s wealthiest attorneys, including Richard “Dickie” Scruggs.
