After missing deadline, Texas Tech’s Leach could be fired
Unless the Texas Tech board of regents overrules the wishes of athletic director Gerald Myers, Mike Leach’s coaching career in Lubbock is over.
A source close to the negotiations told Sporting News that Myers told Leach to sign the proposed contract extension or be fired. When reached Wednesday by Sporting News, Leach said two of the four provisions added by Myers to the latest contract offer are “designed to drive you away.”
