Days after being publicly reprimanded by the Southeastern Conference, Tennessee football Coach Lane Kiffin was issued a letter of admonishment by the university Monday for two minor recruiting violations. UT’s athletics department self-reported two secondary violations that occurred when recruits were on campus for official visits last month, university spokeswoman Tiffany Carpenter confirmed. The first incident occurred when a fog machine was used as a recruit entered Neyland Stadium during a visit. In the second incident, nine prospects who were visiting took part in a mock press conference at the media center inside Neyland Stadium. Under NCAA rules, schools are prohibited from simulating a game experience for recruits during official visits. Recruiting coordinator Ed Orgeron was also issued a letter of admonishment.
