Bulldogs add 2 more from state’s top 10
STARKVILLE — Mississippi State’s biggest recruiting weekend of the year appears to have paid big-time benefits.
The Bulldogs and new coach Dan Mullen received non-binding, oral commitments from two of The Clarion-Ledger’s Ten Most Wanted recruits – Tupelo wide receiver Chad Bumphis and Louisville wide receiver/defensive back Dennis Thames – and Greenville St. Joseph running back LaDarius Perkins while they were on their official visits this weekend, according to recruiting Web sites Scout.com and ESPN.com.
