Tebow puts heart, soul into all efforts

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — The last time Tim Tebow played in Dolphin Stadium, he cemented his legacy as one of the greatest quarterbacks in the rich history of Florida high school football.
In the final game of his prep career in 2005, he single-handedly drove Jacksonville’s Nease High to its first 4-A state championship with a 44-37 victory over Armwood. Tebow set championship-game records for most offense plays (54: 27 passing and 27 running) and touchdown responsibility (six total).

On Thursday against Oklahoma in the BCS national championship game, Tebow, again in Dolphin Stadium but this time as Florida’s junior starting QB, has a chance to enhance his place in college football history.
He already has an ’06 national championship ring as a backup QB and the ’07 Heisman Trophy. Would another national title put him among the all-time greats of the game?
“If Florida wins on Thursday, he comes back to school for his senior year, Florida gets to the championship game again and he finishes first or second in the Heisman, he may end up being the greatest player all-time in college,” said Matt Hayes, college football columnist for The Sporting News.
