The littlest Rebels stand tall in land of the giants

The storied, old Cotton Bowl football field was a virtual land of the giants here Friday. The Ole Miss traveling squad included 16 players who weigh 300 pounds or more – some much more.

Texas Tech has its share of behemoths, too.
Yes, but two of the tiniest players on the field headed home today with the two biggest trophies. Dexter McCluster, all 5 feet, 8 inches and 165 pounds of him, and 5-9, 170-pound Marshay Green were deservedly voted the Cotton Bowl’s offensive and defensive MVPs, respectively.
Put them both together and you get one mammoth Peria Jerry, but Jerry knew how valuable McCluster and Green were after Ole Miss had knocked off No. 8 Texas Tech 47-34.
