On Christmas morning, everybody wins
Who doesn’t love a happy ending, especially on Christmas morning?
And if you look hard enough, you can find happy endings all over this morning; happy endings that were born in what, at the time, many thought were disastrous circumstances.
For all the grief Alabama caught in its relentless money-is-no-object pursuit of Nick Saban, who is laughing now? Saban has made Crimson Tide football relevant again, both on the football field as well as off. Tide fans enjoyed the climb to the top of the polls at the end of the season, and even though the team couldn’t finish the dream, the SEC Championship Game was a BCS National Championship semifinal and the consolation for Alabama fans was a trip to New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl.
