New Clemson coach says he knows path to success
Right place. Right time.
That’s what Dabo Swinney’s life looks like from the outside. His story seems like one long fairy tale, from earning a scholarship at the University of Alabama as a walk-on wide receiver to moving seamlessly from player to graduate assistant to full-time coach to interim head coach at Clemson University when Tommy Bowden was fired in the middle of the season.
“I know how to be successful,” said Swinney. “You put your eyes on the Lord in everything you do, you believe in yourself, and you never quit. If you do those things right, you’re going to be successful.”
