That post I deleted a couple of months ago
I saw Schnauzer’s post almost immediately after it went up, and then started getting emails from people telling me I should see it (some of whom were clearly hoping it would get blogged for partisan reasons). Later, I learned that it was also being sent to YallPolitics, which thought it too unreliable to link (although it may have got a mention eventually). It was clear that this post was worse than unreliable and was only going to hurt Musgrove.
As I noted, it seemed more an effort to start a rumor (which is what happened– it started rumors flying through the system that Musgrove was about to be indicted) than being a report of a rumor. In any event, this is the explanation I promised I’d eventually give about why I took the post down.
